It coordinates communications between health care providers, hospitals, pharmacies and others, called HealthPosts, allowing them to send and receive “mail” electronically, in Health Information Packages (HIPS).

• HIPS can contain healthcare information from multiple sources and varying formats.
• HIPS are created and distributed securely through an encrypted connection.
• HIPS can be shared with any other health care provider, even if they are not a “subscriber” to Health PostBox Express.

In addition, consumers can safely communicate with your practice and access their health record using HealthVault Connector Service, at no cost to them.
